Brief role summary:

The Account Manager for South-East Europe of Fisher Scientific a part of Thermo Fisher Scientific with domestic and international sales responsibility. We are in search of an individual responsible for leading all aspects of the sales of scientific and laboratory products within a territory working with our existing and new customers. This role involves managing customer relationships encouraging growth opportunities ensuring market penetration and meeting sales and profitability expectations. This is a field-based role covering Hungary and a couple of other South-East European countries. Regular weekly travel within the area will be required (3 to 4 days per week including some overnight stays).

Within this position we are looking for an individual who will be a member of our international dynamic and successful Easter European Sales Team!

Your responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic and tactical sales plan for South-East Europe territory to ensure revenue and gross margin objectives are achieved or exceeded.
  • Strive to enhance product sales to cultivate supplier relationships and actively endorse key products and services from Fisher Scientific as a preferred choice.
  • Build and sustain long term customer relationships to foster business development with direct and indirect (distributors) customers at the procurement and end user level.
  • Lead pricing within territory to optimize profitability.
  • Research competitor and industry activity and keep informed of new products/services and other general information of interest to customers maintain high level business knowledge
  • Update reporting tools to the business on customers competitor activity promotions etc to agreed timescales and in agreed format.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with customers/distributors to outline performance against Key Performance Indicators
  • Work closely with fellow sales team members to build the best customer experience
  • Improve selling time and efficiently
  • Leverage and company tools to develop the territory plan pipeline and optimize territory coverage and ensure that standard processes for sales tasks are followed. Ensure detail is accurate and on time.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers transacting improved terms whenever possible to enhance the companys profitability.
  • Complete timely all elements of personal administration including personal expenses and sales activity planning in line with company procedures.
  • Set the tone for the team display role model leadership behaviours and support junior colleagues.
  • Proactively look for opportunities for self-development utilising available training.
  • Use PPI principles to find a better way every day

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Confirmed sales experience preferably in the research laboratory industry understanding of the current marketplace for laboratory equipment consumables and chemicals.
  • Minimum Bachelors degree preferably in Applied Sciences or Life Science or equivalent work experience.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office and the Web along with use of SFDC software.
  • Strong industry pharmaceutical and science background preferred.
  • Valid drivers license and thrive travelling to customer locations and attend regional and international meetings.
  • Written and spoken English skills.
  • Good social skills teamwork time management communication presentation strategic selling and negotiating skills.
  • Confident personality able to effectively engage with all customers during one-to-one meetings exhibitions formal presentations across all segments in which we operate.
  • Effectively perform your duties while acting at all times in accordance with the Dignity at Work Policy Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and our values of Integrity Intensity Innovation and Involvement.
  • It is important to present yourself expertly and handle customer interactions and partnerships with a thoughtful and polished approach.
