Portfolio Manager Secure Infrastructure Services Program Delivery
Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Portfolio Manager to join our team. As a Portfolio Manager you will have the unique opportunity to lead and oversee significant IT projects across our global organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to determine project objectives scope and deliverables and ensure flawless execution.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the planning execution and delivery of IT projects ensuring they are completed on time within budget and according to world class quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine project objectives scope and deliverables fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Create and manage project plans encompassing timelines resource allocation and risk management strategies to achieve ambitious project goals.
- Monitor project progress identify potential risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Communicate project updates and status reports to all relevant parties involved in the project ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment promoting teamwork and knowledge sharing among project team members to drive exceptional results.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in information systems computer science or a related field or equivalent experience.
- 7 years of proven experience in IT project management successfully delivering complex projects.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage project teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong ability to effectively convey information both in writing and verbally.
- Familiarity with PMP principles and practices is valued.
