A Dialysis Float Nurse - RN or LPN provides specialized nursing care at one of DCIs in-center hemodialysis units as part of a patient care team. Our RNs are integral in ensuring safe care and the highest quality outcomes are prioritized for every patient.
Schedule: Potential full-time shifts vary from four 10-hour shifts or three 12-hour shifts starting at 4:30am; Sundays off; no overnight shifts
Compensation: Pay ranges from $30.80-$41.39 per hourdepending on nursing and dialysis experience

Responsibilities
What You Can Expect:
- Prepare dialysis machine its alarms and treatment supplies and ensure quality standards are met
- Perform hemodialysis treatments per facility policies and procedures
- Ongoing patient education training and health coaching
- Monitor patients during dialysis assessing and communicating changes with physician and families
- Administer and chart all prescribed medications
- Follow CDC/CMS infection control regulations
- Participate in patient care conferences rounds and chart reviews
- Document required patient education efforts
- Facilitate continuity of care with local hospitals
- Assist in medication inventory maintenance
- Lead a small patient care team
- Contribute to onboarding new staff members as directed
- Additional tasks as requested
Qualifications
Successful Candidates Bring:
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated clinical excellence
- Desire to collaborate with care teams
- Ability to problem solve
Education/Training:
- Accredited nursing degree required
- Current TN RN or LPN license
- Current CPR/AED certification
- Current state IV therapy training requirements if applicable
- Dialysis experience not required job shadow opportunities available
- DCI provides 3-months of comprehensive training including classroom group sessions and one-on-one skills training
