The Job You Will Perform:
- Responsible for environmental compliance for air effluent solid waste and hazardous waste streams and systems of the New Bern Mill
- Manages the lab which includes quality testing for the pulp dryer
- Implement projects and best management practices that will help the mill achieve compliance with all applicable environmental laws regulations and corporate policies
- Demonstrate due diligence and environmental stewardship
- Oversee compliance activities to assure timely and effective completion of mill environmental including company policy state and federal regulations
- Strategically plan for compliance on any capital or process involvement projects
- Serve as a leader for workforce engagement diversity employee and staff development and employee relations
- Responsible for financial management including establishing and managing budgets and compliance with financial controls
- Oversee timely completion of all monthly quarterly annual state and federal environmental reports
- Respond to all concerns complaints and queries from regulators the community and audit findings
The Skills You Will Bring:
- At least 5-10 years Pulp & Paper Mill environmental management experience
- Minimum of a B.S. in a science or engineering discipline (advanced degree in science engineering or MBA is a plus)
- Strong written and oral communication skills

About Global Cellulose Fibers (GCF):
Our GCF business helps customers transform renewable cellulose fibers into essential everyday products.
