Job Description
The State College Area School District is searching for an Instructional Paraprofessional for the Health Professions program in our Career and Technical Center (CTC). This position is designed to assist multiple teachers in facilitating classroom activities providing supplemental instructional support and assisting with clerical work/documentation related to CTC compliance. This program allows students to explore and learn about healthcare and wellness related careers through our nursing/medical pathway and sports therapy/exercise science pathway. The work is usually varied and provides many unique and exciting opportunities.
The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations with strong written and verbal communication customer service organizational skills and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently on projects and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion. Strong organizational interpersonal and communication skills are required. Must be able to work independently as well as within a team. Experience in working with high school students is preferred. Essential skills with software and technology are necessary.
