Concierge posts available - evening and weekend hours (0 hour contract)
If you are flexible with your working hours you are enthusiastic about joining a friendly team and taking a hands-on approach to a variety of light tasks this part-time concierge role could be a great match for you. This is a customer facing role and you will need to feel confident about communicating in a friendly yet assertive manner with visitors and staff.
We take great pride in our schools and our concierge teams work hard to make sure that staff and visitors are made to feel welcome and that our buildings and grounds are well maintained creating a good impression.
We have opportunities for concierge cover at all 3 school campuses based in Voorschoten Leidschenveen and Mariahoeve. A minimum average of 4 hours per week*.
Your duties will include;
Working on the reception desk you will welcome incoming visitors and ensure they sign in the visitor book. Usually these are planned meetings such as; rental of the sports hall or extra curricular activities.
Make sure everyone using school facilities and equipment clears it away in accordance with school requirements
Ensure everyone leaves the building within agreed timeframes
Close the building and set the alarm
Carry out light tasks when there is time as delegated by the team lead concierge such as; the maintenance of coffee machines replenishing hand towels emptying the dishwasher etc.
Ensure the right procedures are followed and the right people are contacted in case of an emergency.
*Additionally between November 2025 and February 2026 there will be a cover opportunity available at our senior school Voorschoten as per the example hours below - exact hours to be confirmed:
Monday: 18.45 - 21.30
Tuesday : 18.45 - 22.30
Wednesday: 18.45 - 22.30
Thursday: 18.45 - 22.30
Friday: 18.45 - 21.30
Required skills:
A flexible approach to your working times
Ability to use own initiative and work independently as well as within a team
Customer friendly attitude with both adults and students
The ability to be firm polite and decisive
Flexibility to take on a variety of tasks as required
Experience/understanding of maintenance and security issues would be an advantage but not essential
Ability to communicate clearly in English Dutch is not mandatory but considered an asset
Possession of BHV certificate or willingness to take the BHV course is a plus
Salary & benefits:
We offer a competitive salary of 17 per hour for weekdays and between 20 - 25 per hour for weekend work as well as a good working environment and support. This will be a zero hours contract.
