The Institute for the Future of Education (IFE) at the Tecnolgico de Monterrey invites applications for a transformative faculty cluster hire. We seek innovative scholars who will advance research teaching and impact in the following areas:
Learning Sciences Learning Analytics and Educational Neuroscience. STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) Education. Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Education. Lifelong Learning and Educational Technologies. Our Institute emphasizes creative interdisciplinary collaboration and change-making research-to-practice partnerships along with a commitment to equity and social justice. Our mission is to improve millions of lives by transforming educational practices including for lifelong learning in the Global South and around the world.
About the Institute for the Future of Education (IFE):
IFE is a university-wide interdisciplinary institute that focuses on education research design development and implementation. Part of the Tecnolgico de Monterrey in Mexico one of the most prestigious universities in the Global South IFE is home to over 120 scholars and staff members. IFE creates disseminates and applies research-based educational innovations to improve learning ecosystems and practices translating scholarship into transformative solutions. Additionally IFE is a unique endeavor in the Global South engaging in a range of research consulting entrepreneurship and impact projects as well as advocacy and community building. It features state-of-the-art facilities including an advanced learning analytics laboratory equipped with cutting-edge technology and several prototyping studios and workshops. IFE also has a research unit and team in Europe (Spain).

Required Qualifications:
A Ph.D. (or equivalent terminal) degree in any of the following areas is recommended: Learning Sciences Learning Analytics Educational Neurosciences STEM/Computer Science/AI Education Engineering Education or Science Education. A Ph.D. (or equivalent) in other areas in Education along with a bachelors and/or masters degree in STEM disciplines is also welcome as well as a Ph.D. in STEM disciplines with a robust track record in educational research. A strong and promising record of research and publication in relevant areas particularly in international indexed top-ranked journals and conferences. Evidence of teaching excellence (commensurate with experience). Teaching experience for junior candidates will be evaluated based on their years of experience. The Tec offers teaching professional development for junior faculty. Depending on the career level a history of grant writing and research project management is expected. Fluency in English is expected for both advanced academic writing and teaching.
Desired Qualifications:
A dedication to advancing diversity equity and inclusion in academia and community engagement.A track record of securing competitive research funding nationally and internationally and managing complex research projects. Familiarity with advanced research methodologies (qualitative and/or quantitative) and/or learning analytics. Experience in designing and delivering interdisciplinary courses that leverage design-based research emerging technologies and innovative teaching and learning approaches. Recognition through awards keynote presentations project leadership or influential publications that underscore the candidates established or potential leadership in the field. Fluency in Spanish Portuguese or other languages is a plus.Note that Spanish is not required;the primary language for instruction and research could be English.
