Job Description
Mercy Health St. Ritas General Surgery in Lima Ohio is seeking a certified physician assistant to join our busy general surgery practice. This provider will play a critical role in delivering high quality care to surgery patients across the continuum from initial evaluation through recovery.

Highlights:
Serve as an integral member of the surgical team - collaborating with surgeons intensivists emergency department physicians and nursing staff to provide exceptional patient care.
Manage patients on the surgery service perform clinical assessments and participate in patient education and follow up care.
PALS and ACLS
Monday - Friday work week including rounding 7 AM in hospital respond to new floor consults and/or calls from hospital nursing staff regarding post op/follow up care.
o Two clinic days/week averaging 10-12 patients for post op care.
Call: Assist general surgeon on weekend call 1-2 monthly.
Experienced APCs and physicians will provide support and mentorship.
Busy 407 bed regional referral center with a catchment area of 480000.
Education and Skills Required:
Current licensure with the state of Ohio as a PA-C.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
