General Description
Under the supervision of the building administrator and teaching staff the educational assistant provides support to teachers and students. This position helps students develop reading/writing/and mathematic skills in the classroom and social/behavioral support inall settings.
This position requires strong student behavior management and excellent communication with students staff and parents. The educational assistant must have strong organizational skills flexibility to sudden changes and willingness to do what is best for kids. The position may require the assignment of other duties as required in order to providethe best educational program for students.

Qualifications
- The ability to help school staff establish and maintain a positive climate of learning and high expectations for all.
- Excellentpositive behavior management skills.
- Experience and skills in reading/writing and math core instruction and small groups.
- Experience working with students who have experienced trauma have special needs andrequire a traumainformed approach/interactions.
