Durashield Coatings is seeking a Quality Control Technician to ensure that both powder and liquid coatings meet strict quality and compliance standards. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product integrity through thorough inspections process monitoring and precise documentation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in evaluating coatings and correcting defects with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Inspection: Examine surface preparation (e.g. cleanliness profile) prior to coating application.
Monitoring: Observe the coating application process to ensure alignment with specifications.
Verification: Measure coating thickness adhesion and related properties using specialized tools.
Evaluation: Assess the profile of parts throughout all phases of Durashield operations; identify and correct powder and liquid coating defects.
Documentation: Record inspection results deviations and quality data.
Material Compliance: Ensure coatings and materials meet all specified requirements.
Quality Control: Identify and address issues that may impact final product quality.
Reporting: Communicate findings effectively with supervisors managers and relevant personnel.
Standards Adherence: Maintain compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
Equipment Operation: Utilize thickness gauges adhesion testers profile gauges and related tools.
Problem Solving: Troubleshoot issues with coating application or material defects.
Technical Knowledge: Understanding of powder and liquid coating applications and testing procedures.
Analytical Ability: Strong data analysis and troubleshooting skills.
Communication: Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to Detail: Accuracy and thoroughness in inspections and reporting.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Experience: Prior experience in coatings inspection or quality control is required.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
