DescriptionThis is an exciting opportunity for an Analyst to join the global Third Party Oversight team the team is part of the wider Global Investment Operations group.
The successful candidate will join a team in Mexico whose primary responsibility is oversight of the key service provider Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations performed by our service providers for the EMEA funds. Day to day responsibility will be to work with the global team in our delivery of the daily tasks as well as working on weekly monthly quarterly deliverables.
This will involve both the maker and checker of the different fund NAV production. It will involve building strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders acting as an internal escalation for issues and working with external parties on operational processes and resolution of issues.
This is an opportunity for the successful individual to be part of a team and to help build out the operational oversight processes that are in place across the funds which are domiciled in Europe.
The role is suited to an individual who has a keen interest in the asset management industry with a strong bias for numbers problem solving and a keen eye for detail.
The Role
- Day to day support for the team tasks which include the daily weekly and monthly checks and review of all the Towers Watson Investment Management (TWIM) fund NAVs and assisting with queries.
- Escalate any issues with the NAV oversight production to the EMEA team for assistance.
- Assist in any ad hoc tasks the team must deliver.
- Working to tight SLA deadlines to prepare the NAV oversight checks in the NAV oversight tolerance tool.
- Assist in other business as usual processes and activities to ensure the smooth running of the EMEA funds including by not limited to; NAV oversight oversight of the Fund Accounting Custody and Hedging providers Fund budgets Investor rebates change processes and issue escalation.
- Assist in the collection calculation and review of estimate pricing used in the NAV production of some of the TWIM funds.
- Help production of MI reporting and trend analysis for senior management
Ensure deliverables are managed to deadline and in accordance with SLAs. Be able to communicate clearly to the management teams about progress issues and outcomes.
QualificationsThe Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years professional experience preferably in investment management/custodian back-office operations.
- Bachelors degree in Business Finance Accounting or related field
- Fund accounting experience
- Proficient with MS Office Applications especially Microsoft Excel
- Effective oral and written communication skills to ensure that information and knowledge are shared appropriately
- Bilingual English required
- Thecandidate must be keen to join or be in the financial industry
- Want to progress through diligence flexibility and being a strong team player.
- Have an interest in a career in operations
- The ability to work on tasks unsupervised and to escalate when needed.
- Focused on attention to detail
- Ability to work to deadlines.
