The primary role of this position is to identify new business opportunities for our products in automotive logistics industry through strategic partnership development product demonstrations presentations and proposal writing. You will work closely with sales application engineers marketing communications and other internal departments to develop solutions that meet customer requirements and maximize profitability.
Responsibilities
Develops and maintains relationships with customers suppliers vendors contract manufacturers and subcontractors.
Responds to requests for proposals (RFPs) by submitting detailed responses outlining proposed solutions costs delivery times and other key information.
Attends trade shows and conferences to promote the companys products and services and establish relationships with potential clients and industry experts.
Prepares reports by collecting and analyzing data on sales volume revenue customer demographics supply chain performance and other relevant metrics.
Provides feedback to operations quality control purchasing and other departments regarding customer complaints issues and concerns.
Assists with scheduling and coordinating production runs to ensure timely completion of orders and minimization of delays or disruptions.
Reviews inventory levels and identifies slow-moving or obsolete items that can be removed from stock or returned to suppliers.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to resolve issues related to transportation warehousing packaging and distribution.
Monitors and analyzes trends in logistics and supply chain management recommending improvements as appropriate.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management Engineering or a related field. Masters degree preferred but not required.
Minimum five years of experience working in logistics preferably within the automotive industry.
Strong knowledge of logistics systems processes and best practices.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Ability to travel frequently sometimes at short notice.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with ERP software and other logistics management tools.
Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and precision.
Adaptable nature with the ability to thrive in dynamic environments.
