Job Description

Our Biomaterials Business Unit develops produces and supplies degradable specialty polymers to the medical and pharmaceutical industries. These advanced materials are essential for high-value applications such as resorbable orthopedic implants long-acting pharmaceutical drug delivery systems and bio-stimulating agents in aesthetic dermal fillers. With production facilities in Gorinchem The Netherlands and Tucker GA USA we partner closely with our customers to deliver tailor-made high-quality solutions that meet the industrys most stringent demands.

We are seeking a Senior Sales Manager New Business Development to accelerate growth and shape the future of our biomedical materials business. This role is perfect for a commercially driven professional with a deep understanding of specialty polymers or related chemical technologies and a proven track record of creating and converting new business opportunities.

Beyond winning in the market we need someone who continuously seeks smarter more effective ways of working improving sales processes strengthening the commercial structure and fostering collaboration across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Design and execute sales strategies to achieve ambitious revenue and margin goals.
  • Balance the management of existing key accounts with proactive pursuit of new customers.

New Business Development & Growth

  • Identify qualify and convert new business opportunities in biomedical applications from early-stage prospects to commercial agreements.
  • Build and manage a strong opportunity-rich pipeline to secure sustainable growth.

Continuous Improvement & Internal Collaboration

  • Challenge and improve existing commercial processes tools and structures for greater efficiency and agility.
  • Foster a culture of transparency accountability and cross-functional collaboration (R&D operations marketing regulatory).

Market Intelligence & Positioning

  • Track market trends competitor moves and emerging technologies to anticipate customer needs.
  • Translate market insights into actionable sales and development strategies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Materials Science Chemistry Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • 7 years of sales experience in specialty polymers chemicals or similar high-value materials with a strong focus on growth and lead conversion.
  • Proven success in generating and closing complex deals in a B2B technical environment.
  • Experience working in or with medical devices pharmaceuticals or biomedical materials is a strong plus.

  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and deal-closing skills.
  • Strong commercial drive.
  • Excellent at building trust and long-term relationships with technical and commercial stakeholders.
  • Continuous improvement mindset actively seeks ways to enhance processes tools and organizational effectiveness.
  • Strong analytical forecasting and reporting capabilities.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft 365 (Excel PowerPoint SharePoint Forms etc.).
  • Collaborative and adaptable in a fast-changing global business environment.
