Role Overview
As a Software Architect youll be a key player in shaping our software department driving the development of innovative solutions in solar technology. Collaborating closely with electrical simulation and applications teams youll balance market demands with future development leading the software ecosystems growth.
Your day starts with a standup meeting to ensure priorities and schedules are on track. Youll explore cloud architectures for the next-gen solar controllers collaborate with performance teams and establish scalable standards. After lunch you might interview candidates strategize with management and review power electronics developments. The day wraps up with coding and preparing for a demo at weeks end.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of embedded software for power converters telematics units cloud platforms and mobile apps.
- Architect software solutions to maximize standardization optimize power consumption and enhance user experience.
- Maintain and execute the software development roadmap.
- Build and lead the software development team.
- Select toolchains and platforms and manage the tech stack.
- Align software development with other systems including electrical performance and simulation teams.
What We Expect
- Masters Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 5 years in a similar or closely related role.
- Experience leading a small team.
- Ability to translate customer needs into software architecture.
- Experience with tech stack setup toolchain and programming language selection for embedded/cloud/app development.
- Knowledge of embedded systems CAN Matlab/Simulink and electronics testing is a plus.
- Strong people skills thriving in a multidisciplinary team environment.
