The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior GL Accountant to join our Finance team. This role will play a key role in US accounting operations financial reporting and consolidation efforts while also supporting other financial reporting consolidation and departmental initiatives. The ideal candidate is a fully qualified accountant (CPA ACCA or equivalent) with U.S. accounting experience and strong technical expertise. Success in this role requires excellent collaboration across teams and a continuous improvement mindset to drive process efficiencies within a global finance environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries including accruals prepayments bank reconciliations fixed asset accounting intercompany transactions leases debt and equity ensuring compliance with US GAAP IFRS and local accounting standards.
• Oversee key GL processes including accruals prepayments bank reconciliations fixed asset accounting and payroll posting.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts ensuring financial integrity and accuracy.
• Support the reconciliation and timely processing of payroll identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Continuously identify opportunities for automation and process improvements within the global accounting function.
• Prepare monthly review files and perform variance analysis to identify trends and potential issues.
• Support monthly quarterly and annual financial reporting requirements ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate accounting policies. Tax & Audit Compliance
• Support external audits to provide supporting documentation and assist with tax return filings by collaborating with regional controllers and the tax director.
• Assist in preparing audited financial statements including required disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP and other applicable standards.

Candidate Requirements

• CPA ACCA or equivalent fully qualified accounting designation required.
• Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting (Masters degree preferred).
• 3-4 years of experience in accounting with a strong focus on global accounting consolidations and financial reporting.
• Prior experience working for a US-based company with international operations preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP IFRS intercompany accounting and foreign currency transactions.
• Advanced Excel skills including data analysis and financial modeling.
• Experience with Sage Intacct FloQast Brex Tipalti and Carta is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with global finance teams and senior leadership.
