About the Role

As a utility operator youll work in a work environment where no two days are the same. Whether youre digging trenches as a laborer operating performing maintenance or engaging with customers youll play a critical role in ensuring the safe and reliable operations of our natural gas systems.

Utility Operators cover a range of responsibilities your day-to-day tasks may include:

• Maintaining and repairing gas distribution systems to ensure safe operations.
• Assisting with the installation of new gas lines and infrastructure.
• Operate and maintain tools equipment and machinery safely and proficiently.
• Engaging with customers to resolve service issues.
• Responding to emergencies to ensure uninterrupted gas supply.
• Assemble inspect test and maintain gas meters and related equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.

What Youll bring:

• High School Diploma GED or equivalent.
• Valid Alberta Class 5 Drivers License with a clean driver abstract.
• Ability to successfully complete pre-employment testing including background check and drug and alcohol screening.
• Experience in gasfitting hydrovac landscaping general labor trades construction mechanical or field service work would be an asset.
• Physical stamina for working outdoors in all weather conditions.
