JOB TITLE: HOD Electrical
JOB LOCATION:Ikorodu Lagos

JOB DETAILS:
- The Head of Department Electrical Maintenance oversees the maintenance repair and optimization of all electrical systems and equipment at Egbin Power Plc.
- This role ensures electrical assets reliable and efficient operation supports plant performance and adheres to safety and regulatory standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Accountablefortheavailabilityreliabilityandsafeoperatingconditionofallelectrical assetsinEgbinPowerplc.
- Ensure thedepartment is well structured with the right skill set and fit to meet plant performance and efficiencyneeds.
- Benchmarkmaintenanceactivitieswithindustry bestpractices.
- Cascadebusiness objectivestotheelectricalmaintenancedepartmentobjective.
- Conductregularperformancereviewstoaligndepartmentalperformancewithbusinessobjectives.
- Managethedepartmentsmaterialandservicesprocurementprocess.
- Traindirectreportsonbudgetingandresourcesmanagement.
- Supervisebudgetplanningformulationandcontrolforthe electricaldepartment.
- Effectivemanagementofbothinternalandexternalstakeholders(TCNNERCNEMSAetc).
- Ensureeffectivemaintenancebacklogmanagementandscopingforplantoverhaulsandrehabilitation.
- Ensureallmaintenanceactivitieshavestandardoperatingproceduresandworkinstructions.
- Ensuretheimplementationofmaintenancebestpracticesandreliability-centredmaintenance
- Accountableforthedepartmentof human andmaterialresourcesmanagement.
- Schedulereviews of thedepartmentalprocessmanualfor continuousimprovement.
- Schedulereviewsof SOPsandWIS forcontinuousimprovement.
- EnsureRCASis performedonallfailuresandcapas recommendationsareimplemented.
- Implementtherequirementsof theIntegratedManagementSystems
- Ensure awareness understanding and application of QHSE policy on assigned jobs and ensuretheintegrationoftheIMSrequirements(iso9001::2015&45001:2018)intothedepartmentalprocesses.
- Performother dutiesasmaybeassignedby theHeadof Maintenance.
Education and Work Experience
- Bachelors Degreeor itsequivalentinElectrical/ElectronicEngineering.
- Postgraduate/relevantprofessionalqualification.
- MemberoftheNigerianSocietyofEngineers(NSE)
- CouncilforTheRegulationofEngineeringinNigeria(COREN)RegisteredEngineer
- SMRP CMRPCertificationorotherRelevantCertification.
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant work experience with at least five (5) years in amanagerial role and significant exposure to Electrical maintenance of power plantoperations.
Skills and Competencies:
- Possesstechnicalknowledgeofallelectricalsystemsinthepowerplant.
- Goodunderstandingoftheoperationsandhistory ofpowerplantequipment.
- KnowledgeofstandardoperatingproceduresforElectricalmaintenanceofelectricalequipment.
- Knowledgeofmaintenancebestpracticesandreliability-centredmaintenance.
- KnowledgeofapplicableregulationsintheNigeriaElectricitySupplyIndustry.
- In-depth knowledge of Quality and Safety Management Systems Implementation andAudit.
- GoodKnowledgeofthe powergenerationprocess.
- Good Knowledge of modern maintenance management practices and spare inventorymanagement.
- Excellentleadershipskills.
- Excellentprojectmanagementskills.
- Goodcommunicationandreportingskills.
