Job Description
Founded in 2001 our client is a leading SAP Industry Solution specialist with decades of experience serving global corporations mid-sized companies and public institutions in the Circular Economy Energy and Utilities sectors.
We are seeking a hands-on Lead SAP ABAP Developer to drive the technical delivery of SAP solutions designed specifically for the circular economy sector. You will guide a dedicated SCRUM-like development team working closely with the Product Owner and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and make architectural decisions for the development team.
- Set and enforce code quality standards and promote best practices in architecture tools and processes.
- Mentor and coordinate team members fostering skills development and high performance.
- Act as a liaison between the development team Product Owner and upper management ensuring clear communication and aligned goals.
- Contribute to critical and complex components of the codebase in a hands-on capacity.
- Oversee integration with SAP S/4HANA (Private/Public Cloud) SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
- Solutions based on SAP Clean Core guidelines Utilizing SAPs Application Programming Models such as RAP and CAP and CDS architectures.
- Lead teams in Agile/SCRUM-like environments overseeing task distribution planning and deliverables.
- Utilize Git for version control enforce professional branching strategies code reviews and collaborative development workflows.
Qualifications & Skills
- 8 years of professional ABAP development experience within ABAP OOP including hands-on software architecture.
- Extensive expertise in ABAP on Cloud and RESTful Application Programming (RAP) frameworks.
- Deep experience with CDS Views / AMDP and OData V4 services.
- Good working experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
- SAP Business Application Studio ( FIORI and MDK)
- Proven track record of leading teams and delivering complex large-scale SAP projects.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor developers and coordinate cross-functional teams.
- Advanced planning communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in Agile/SCRUM development environments.
- Fluency in English (C1); German language skills at B2 level.
