We seek a savvy applications engineering leader able to wear all the hats to drive system level architectures for a San Jose power semiconductor startup. You will partner with a proven leadership team delivering breakthrough density efficiency and reliability in power supplies for datacenter applications.
You will use your technical expertise in one or more of the following: AI Datacenter - HPC power delivery 48V to PoL DC/DC conversion hybrid switched-capacitor converters or high-current multi-phase buck converters.
You will: Build a lab theinternal systems the internal apps do simulations build and debug printed circuit boards bring-up customer reference systems and demo hardware. Architect and specify power specific mixed signal IP such as interface protocols and IP block register sets Design and validate hardware emulation platforms for rapid prototyping Develop and maintain scripting environment for lab equipment automation Develop test and maintain reference designs and demo boards for customer engagement Plan and execute application evaluations leveraging automation for data collection and analysis Engage directly with customers to provide technical support and promote product adoption Provide system debug board bring-up and root cause analysis.
Additional: PhD/MS/BSEE. 5 years in industry. Excellent communication and presentation skills in English. Demonstrated ability to produce clear concise technical documentation and customer-facing collateral. Strong lab proficiency with test equipment (oscilloscopes electronic loads network analyzers etc.) and scripting tools (e.g. Python) for automation. Skilled in simulation tools such as SIMPLIS and MATLAB/Simulink. Proficient in schematic capture and PCB layout. Working knowledge of PCB fabrication and assembly best practices. Develop C and Verilog code for microcontroller and FPGA based closed loop PWM controllers.
Location: Hybrid worksite San Jose CA
Compensation: Base salaries $200000 to $250000 with a generous bonus and stock equity.
