RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Determines and Executes Administrative Policies through subordinate Managers.
  • Insures the Optimal Operation of Departments within the Organization such as: Production Quality Finance Materials Engineering Maintenance Human Resources Health & Safety etc.
  • Responsible for Selecting Training Motivating and Developing his/her Staff as well as acting as a Facilitator. Also Responsible for promoting and maintaining Inter-departmental harmony.
  • Represents the Organization in Industrial Commercial or Service Trade Associations to develop an acceptance of the Company as well as to detect situations or trends that can affect the Organization.
  • Has the Organizations General Power of Attorney.
  • Oversee operations to ensure safety develop plans that help operations run smoothly.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in engineering business administration or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing operations management preferably in multiple managerial roles.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean Six Sigma).
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Proficiency in budgeting financial analysis P&L management and cost control.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices in industrial environments.
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written in both English and Spanish.
  • Problem-solving mindset and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE)) are a plus.
  • Masters degree or MBA related to operations (or equivalent of education and experience).
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in plant management within multinational or transnational companies with a preference for experience in HVAC assembly Thermal Automotive manufacturing or related industries.

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

  • The role is overseeing multiple manufacturing facilities within a campus requiring regular site visits and interaction with production teams corporate representatives and customers.
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols.
  • The role requires extensive floor presence ensuring that the needs for the factories are being met and led by the plant director.
  • Occasional standing or walking may be required during meetings presentations or site visits
  • Work is primarily conducted in an office environment with controlled temperature and lighting.

TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED

  • 15%
  • Occasional travel to different Vertiv manufacturing locations client sites or conferences may be necessary.
