Job Description
Play Director - Fall Production Needed
Location: Williston Central School
Williston Central School is currently seeking a Director to work with our enthusiastic and creative middle school students during the 2025 Fall play production.
If you are a dynamic energetic collegial and innovative individual we would love to talk with you about joining the Williston Central School team.
The Fall Play Director is responsible for:
- Planning reviewing the script staging and organizing the production
- Preparing for and auditioning cast members (up to 60 students in a production)
- Developing a rehearsal schedule
- Communicating with cast parents and many parent volunteers
- Communicating with school personnel as needed.
- Providing creative leadership for staging the production rehearsing and directing the actors and approving the productions design lights and sound and props and costumes.
- Overseeing the program budget: securing appropriate licensing rights materials for set construction lights sound makeup promotions and costumes including purchasing and rentals.
This position is compensated per Category C of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (page 89) and shall be funded by production proceeds. If interested please submit a cover letter and resume to Greg Marino
