Position Overview:
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports the General Manager in overseeing daily hotel operations to ensure smooth execution across departments high levels of guest satisfaction operational efficiency and adherence to brand standards. The AGM plays a key role in supervising department heads driving revenue controlling costs and fostering a collaborative team culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the General Manager in directing all aspects of the hotels operations including front office housekeeping maintenance and guest services.
Lead and mentor department managers to achieve high performance in guest satisfaction staff engagement and financial objectives.
Maintain a consistent presence on property to monitor service delivery resolve escalated guest concerns and ensure team accountability.
Ensure full compliance with Marriott brand standards operational procedures and regulatory requirements.
Oversee labor and expense controls in coordination with budget and forecasting targets.
Participate in hiring training and performance evaluations of staff.
Foster a positive guest-first culture while modeling professionalism and integrity.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of progressive hotel management experience preferably in a full-service branded hotel environment.
Previous leadership experience within a Marriott-branded hotel strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of hotel operations P&L management and quality assurance systems.
Excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings weekends and holidays as needed.
Familiarity with Marriott platforms such as MGS Lightspeed and GXP is a plus.
Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
