We are looking for a new Junior Field Service Engineer UPSto join our team in Sintra Portugal!
Job Highlights:
- Conduct startups maintenance and emergency repairs for VERTIV/LIEBERT UPS battery power distribution and site monitoring equipment.
- Foster strong relationships with customers salespersons distributors and others in the area.
- Ensure seamless communication with the dispatching team and department Manager/Supervisor.
- Responsible for maintaining assigned spares in VAN stock.
- Adhere to environmental guidelines during technical interventions both from Vertiv and client-specific requirements.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Professionally respond to service calls during duty hours.
- Familiarize with and comply with procedures outlined in the Field Procedure Manual.
- Ensure proper accounting of spare parts following established procedures.
- Keep the Dispatching Team updated on schedule and job statuses.
- Maintain customer listing accuracy by promptly reporting errors.
- Submit weekly paperwork accurately and debrief Wireless Field Service jobs comprehensively.
- Report and promote sales or service leads to the relevant department.
- Attend required meetings and collaborate with the department supervisor on operational duties.
Qualifications:
- Secondary school diploma or technical degree in Electrical/Electronics.
- Priority given to candidates with expertise in UPS systems.
- Medium-level proficiency in English; computer literate.
- Valid Driving License travel and weekend availability (potentially scheduled with short notice).
- Occasional heavy lifting required (30 kg).
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Self-starter with effective planning organizing and time management abilities.
