Your Roles:
- Team planning and development:
Overall leadership and coaching of Managers and Supervisors and ensuring there is appropriate and regular coaching in place for their direct reports.
Oversee compliance to staff development plans and ensuring managers and supervisors are conducting effective 1:1 meeting with direct reports as well as addressing action plans
Create an environment of co-operation and initiative through appropriate delegation empowerment training and motivation.
Oversee timely completion of training requirements of all team members both for online and classroom training
Review performance reports and dashboards across teams to ensure targets are met
Ensure regular discussions with CoE EVPs on recruitment staff assessment and capacity planning for your teams - Client and Local Office relationship management:
Actively build an effective working relationship with Local Office VPs and managers through regular communications and having a common understanding of client requirements service delivery goals and team priorities.
Oversee the daily operations of the teams ensuring timeliness of all deliverables to local office and/or clients and provide support and guidance in accomplishing client deliverables in accordance with SLAs
Oversee the teams daily planner/schedules to manage the daily workflows of all client and Local Office deliverables
Hands-on approach as Reviewer A Fund Accounting VP is expected to have his/her own fund/tasks allocations to keep abreast with team deadlines and client complexities. For funds/tasks assigned review and ensure accuracy of accounting records trade and non-trade related bookings cash and portfolio reconciliations portfolio valuations and net asset value calculations
Develop and maintain a sufficient and current understanding of the client their business/products/strategies their processes and most importantly their challenges and needs.
Be the primary point of contact to respond and resolve all queries issues and escalations from CoE team members.
Similarly be the primary point of contact to respond to all queries and escalations from Local Office and clients. Be responsible to lead regular calls with Local Office along with team managers.
Oversee and support the migration of new clients and funds
Active client relationship management in cooperation with Local Office counterparts through reviewing accuracy and timeliness issues that may impact such relationship
Anticipate and resolve work concerns and exercise sound judgment to make appropriate adjustments as necessary - Risk Management:
Be a risk changemaker create a risk awareness culture on each team and within the department and implement processes to address areas of concern.
A champion in developing a forum dedicated to sharing best practices and improving processing standards within the COE
Develop maintain and validate department operational procedures and guidelines through active participation of SOP reviews
Undertake ongoing and ad-hoc operational reviews participate in global policy decisions and lead workshops to establish and modify agreed operational workflows
Participate in CAIS initiatives to maintain Citcos pre-eminent position in the marketplace.
Expect to maintain a thorough understanding of the systems used to deploy the services and to remain apprised of regulations and laws that affect CAIS.
- Process Improvements:
Identify recommend and assist in implementing enhancements where procedures processes controls and client servicing may be improved through automation
About You:
You have a Degree in Business/Accounting/Finance/Economics or any related course
8 years experience in Financial Services preferably in a Fund Accounting / Fund of Funds Accounting Environment with technical knowledge of accounting functions such as Portfolio and Cash reconciliations Portfolio Valuations and NAV calculations across different fund types.
5 years experience managing people
Experience or knowledge of Pricing and Custody processes and functions is an advantage
Exposure to systems implementations and work flow process initiatives would be a distinct advantage
