Job Summary

The Gift Shop Specialist will report to the Executive Director and work in conjunction to implement the policies and procedures of the Shemer Art Centers Gift Shop. This includes the administration necessary to assure that the 60 Arizona artists engaged are professionally represented and that all guests visiting the Shemer Art Center have an outstanding shopping this position the Gift Shop Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Interacting with customers including greeting interacting and helping facilitate sales;
  • Assisting with artist restocking maintaining inventory and facilitating bi-annual gift shop submissions for new artists;
  • Artist communications volunteer coordination and scheduling;
  • Gift shop organizing merchandising creation of price tags and signage;
  • Maintaining artists contact list and membership status; and
  • Reviewing monthly reports and artist payments.

Position Skills and Experience:

  • Energetic friendly and outgoing
  • Knowledge of fine art with retail or gallery experience
  • Merchandising and display expertise
  • MAC computer knowledge and experience (Apple) Office (Word Excel Outlook)

Terms of Employment:

  • Hourly Non-benefited position
  • 15 hours per week Tuesdays Wednesdays and Saturdays 10am 3pm
  • Additional hours when needed for special events and festivals.
  • Rate: Hourly based on experience
    • Paid HolidaysVacation DaysSick Days and Personal Days.
