Job Summary
Under the direction of the Corporate Manager of Content Management the Content Auditor I shall maintain the contents of and ensure the integrity of the Supply Chain item master ensuring appropriate approvals that are supportive of the Mass General Brigham (MGB) Supply Chain Policies. The incumbent will create and catalog item numbers for all purchases under operating funds for medical/surgical and commodity purchases
Will approve or deny item(s) to be added to the item file notifying the end-user
Will check the Workday (WD) Item Master to see if the item already has an item number.
Will contact Department to see if this is a repetitive purchase and will offer alternatives if there are similar items cataloged.
If item is added to the WD item file the content auditor will check for an MGB contract number with a contract agent. Resolve vendor pricing.
Items can only be added to the item file according to the MGB standard naming conventions.
The Content Auditor shall notify end-user of the WD item number via e-mail.
Shall act as a resource to all team members and buyers...
Evaluates and analyzes all purchasing decisions after considering the total impact on supply chain (acquisition-through to payment).
Participates in open communications and verbalization of opinions among the team in attempt to identify and resolve team issues.
Works collaboratively with Contract Agents to coordinate accurate pricing for item file.
Shall run periodic item/vendor file reports as requested.
Cooperates and communicates in an effective professional manner with customer management peers and all Health System personnel.
Resolve GHX exception report.
Demonstrates understanding and concern for others.
Establishes rapport with clients built on trust and mutual respect.
Maintains confidentiality of all Health System and Departmental related information.
Ensures proper communication and customer service throughout department.
Acts as a model to department staff to demonstrate appropriate and professional manner for dealing with all customers.
Respects and maintains the confidentiality of all patients physician and hospital related information.
Cooperates and communicates in an effective professional manner with supervisor management peers general staff physicians and other personnel.
Encourages open communication and verbalization of opinions among staff in an attempt to identify and resolve problems.

A combination of education and experience may be substituted for requirements
Bachelors degree preferred.
Prior knowledge of item file management preferred.
Excellent communication and project management skills required.
Strong analytical and writing skills.

Possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with cross functional teams including staff at all levels of the organization
Ability to successfully negotiate and collaborate with others of different skill sets backgrounds and levels within and external to the organization

Requires minimal direction from leadership and possesses the ability to learn quickly
Associate/bachelors degree preferred.
Prior knowledge of item file management preferred.
Excellent communication and project management skills required.
Strong analytical and writing skills.
Independent critical thinker with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
Must be able to utilize multiple computer systems (ex: Microsoft Outlook PeopleSoft and any other MGB applications)
Readily accepts new responsibilities and assignments.

Responsible for ensuring personal professional growth and continued job competence through attendance at required management training seminars and their continuing educational programs.
