On-site: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Milford Proving Grounds in Milford MI on a full-time basis.

The Role:
The Facilities Leader is the single point of contact and building owner for all Facilities needs (Maintenance Housekeeping Roads & Grounds). They are responsible for strategic planning to execute a high level of facility services within a site. They will work closely cross-functionally with the business partners and tenants to ensure execution of the service agreement to create places people want to be. Provides high level support to complex high visibility activities within the building footprint.

- Be a leader in the GM safety culture ensuring everyone goes home safely every day through extensive knowledge of the workplace safety system and safety contract management. (Own the outcome)

- As a single point of contact for the building tenants you will be responsible for daily interface and coordination of all Infrastructure and Corporate Citizenship activities for their respective building(s) and/or business unit to ensure high quality and timely delivery of building maintenance and housekeeping services. - Act as the voice of the tenant in long term project planning and execution by pulling in the required resources such as Facility Engineering Facility Construction Transformation Resource Management Communications Real Estate Food and Administration Services. (Lead as one team Commit to customers)
- Responsible for supporting the workspace transformation projects and culture change by actively partnering with the ICCS cross functional teams. (Lead as one team Own the outcome)
- Responsible to ensure the Service Provider is complying with GM Global Safety standards including but not limited to: Speak up for Safety Global Call to Action Safety Observation Tours employee safety concerns incident investigation safety module compliance and sentinel events. (Own the outcome)
- Responsible to ensure the Service Provider is delivering efficient and timely execution of all facility services in the areas of Maintenance Housekeeping Roads & Grounds services as well as driving continuous improvements and sharing lessons learned. (Move with urgency Commit to customers)
- Drives strategic and analytical planning to optimize building and facility services guided by industry benchmark standards including for example: space utilization (move service center furniture/ergonomics) energy efficiency Service Agreement deliverables and On-Demand activities. (Move with urgency)
- Develop creative solutions to complex facilities challenges. (Innovate and embrace change)
- Utilize technology and information in support of GMs mission to deliver data driven solutions that allow us to operate efficiently now and in the future. (Innovate and embrace change)
- Drives successful planning and execution of all Infrastructure and Corporate Citizenships-Global Manufacturing System (GMS) principles and elements within their portfolio. (Lead as one team)
- Provide a high level of problem-solving ability to deliver solutions to the continually changing tenant requirements (Innovate and embrace change)
- Speaks up to ensure we are doing the right thing for the right reasons. (Speak fearlessly)
- Maintain open communication between the tenant and Facilities by leading tenant interface meetings (Lead as one team)
- Role model and reinforce our vision mission drives and behaviors that cultivate our cultural transformation. (Own the outcome)
- Waste elimination mindset with a focus on creative solutions to cost challenges.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- Bachelors degree (Preferably in Engineering or Facilities Maintenance/Management) or equivalent training/experience
- 5 years prior experience as Facilities Management Representative or equivalent in a manufacturing facility
- Electrical & Mechanical education and experience for facility management systems such as HVAC Fire Suppression systems Compressed Air Steam / Chilled water Alarms security mobile equipment
- OSHA State & Federal facility regulation knowledge
- Manufacturing System knowledge preferred (Business Plan Deployment & problem solving)
- Finance & Budget planning experience
What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
- MBA/MS Engineering or Business Administration
- Preferred BOMI IFMA 6 Sigma or other applicable professional certifications
- Prior exposure to GMS
This job is not eligible for relocation benefits. Any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
