Job Description
Singtel x Singapore Institute of Technology have embarked on a Work-Study Programme (WSP) launched in Feb 2023. The WSP is called The Catalyst Programme which is a structured on-the-job (OJT) development WSP that allows Polytechnic Diploma holders to secure a full-time position with Singtel while pursuing a university honours degree in Applied Computing. This programme is open to Singtels internal employees as well as external polytechnic diploma holders preferably from the ICT domain. Non-ICT diploma holders are encouraged to apply as line with building capability in Singapore ICT sector this program will develop & groom talent over a 3-year period completing micro-credentials for each module which eventually stack-up to an honours degree in Applied Computing. The Associate Engineer will be responsible for managing and maintaining Satellite ground segment services. He/She shall possess experiences in networking systems and security or relevant experiences in Satellite environment.
- Performs ground segment support and maintenance for Satellite functions.
- Performs 24x7 on call standby to support operations and anomalies.
- Supports business function audits for quality management business continuity and information security.
- To support Change Management for systems OS upgrades and security & vulnerabilities patches.
- To review resources and utilization of the overall network and system capacity.
- Experience with networking equipment and server maintenance.
Requirements:
- A completed diploma from a reputable Polytechnic
- 3 year or less work experience
- Candidates with no work experience are also encourage to apply
