The Opportunity
When you join PwC Acceleration Centers (ACs) you step into a pivotal role focused on actively supporting various Acceleration Center services from Advisory to Assurance Tax and Business our innovative hubs youll engage in challenging projects and provide distinctive services to support client engagements through enhanced quality and innovation. Youll also participate in dynamic and digitally enabled training that is designed to grow your technical and professional skills.
As part of the Software Engineering team you will lead the migration of Oracle databases across various platforms delivering minimal downtime and data integrity. As an Associate you will focus on learning and contributing to client engagement while developing your skills and knowledge to deliver quality work. This role offers a unique chance to deepen your technical knowledge and build meaningful client connections in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the migration process of Oracle databases across multiple platforms
- Maintain data integrity and reduce downtime during transitions
- Collaborate with team members to enhance client engagement
- Develop technical skills through hands-on experience and training
- Build meaningful relationships with clients to understand their needs
- Analyze and troubleshoot database issues effectively
- Participate in continuous learning to stay updated on industry trends
- Support project management efforts to achieve timely delivery
What You Must Have
- Bachelors Degree
- 2 years of experience
- Oral and written proficiency in English required
What Sets You Apart
- Proven experience in migrating Oracle databases
- Designing and implementing migration strategiesusing tools like RMAN Data Pump GoldenGate ZDM or Oracle Cloud Lift services
- Conducting source-target compatibility assessments
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Defining and reviewing architectural designs
- Maintaining data integrity and minimal downtime
- Performing performance benchmarking pre/post migration
Preferred Knowledge/Skills
Lead end-to-end migration of Oracle databases across platforms (On-Prem Azure/AWS cross-region Oracle Exadata VM/Cloud PaaS) ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
Design and implement migration strategies using tools like RMAN Data Pump GoldenGate ZDM or Oracle Cloud Lift services based on RTO/RPO requirements.
Conduct detailed source-target compatibility assessments pre-migration validations and performance benchmarking pre/post migration.
Define and review High-Level & Low-Level Designs (HLD/LLD) including architecture storage layout network connectivity and replication setup.
Collaborate with infrastructure application and cloud platform teams to orchestrate cutover planning rollback strategies and DR setup.
