Job Description

Plumbing Instructor for GNB Voc-Tech Institute

PlumbingInstructor for Evening Adult Education

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced plumbing adult evening instructor to join our team. As an instructor you will be responsible for teaching evening courses focused on plumbing theory practical applications and safety procedures to adult learners.

Requirements:

  • Current Massachusetts Master Plumber license
  • Minimum of 5 years as a licensed plumber
  • Experience in plumbing instruction or apprenticeship training preferred
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems codes and safety practices.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Patience and the ability to work effectively with diverse learners
  • High level of organizational and record-keeping skills
  • Willingness to work evening hours to accommodate the schedule of working adults
  • Basic technology skills are a must

Responsibilities:

  • Implement accurate attendance records that correspond with the course.
  • Create lesson plans course materials and assessments that align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct evening classes providing training and theoretical knowledge to students.
  • Demonstrate safe plumbing practices and troubleshooting skills.
  • Foster a conducive learning environment that encourages active participation and knowledge retention.
  • Offer guidance and support to students addressing their questions and concerns.
  • Provide one-on-one assistance to students who require extra help with course materials.
  • Monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods as needed to ensure student success.
  • Administer quizzes exams and practical assessments to evaluate student understanding and skill development.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to help them improve.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards codes and regulations to ensure curriculum compliance.

Hours:

    • Tuesday and Thursday (3 hours per night)
    • 19 weeks (up to 110 hours)from start date of course
    • Holidays and school vacations observed
