Department of Psychiatry Queen Mary Hospital Hong Kong West Cluster
Pay
HK$66291 to HK$88333 (HGPS 27 to 33A) per month including Monthly Allowance
Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.
Key Responsibilities
1.
Lead and supervise a nursing team within a clinical unit.
2.
Develop professional nursing standard care protocol and clinical pathway.
3.
Provide complex patient care in a specialty / subspecialty.
4.
Acts as a resource and referral agent on clinical expertise.
5.
Manage nurse-led services to provide specialized patient care.
6.
Train and supervise nurse learners in advanced nursing specialty training.
7.
Initiate and participate in evidence-based practice and nursing research.
8.
Participate in the planning implementation and evaluation of the service.
Entry Requirements
1.
Holder of a valid Registered Nurse (Psychiatric) practicing certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong.
2.
Qualification in advanced nursing specialty *.
3.
A degree in Nursing or equivalent.
4.
5 years or more post-registration experience in healthcare of which at least 3 years is in the related specialty.
*
Qualification in advanced nursing specialty refers to recognized post-registration certificate or post-graduate certificate/diploma course in nursing specialty or Master in nursing# or related discipline with considerable coverage on a relevant nursing specialty.
# Only post-registration Master in nursing programmes are accepted
Preferable Attributes / Exposure
1.
Demonstrated competency requirements and leadership ability of an Advanced Practice Nurse.

A Master degree in nursing or related discipline.
3.
Contribution to professional development including research/evidence-based practice teaching and training.
4.
Completed specialty training in Psychiatry.
5.
Working experience in Psychiatry.
6.
Knowledge of professional nursing practice & development in Psychiatry.
7.
Planning organizing & evaluation skills.
8.
Analytical & logical thinking.
9.
People skills to network & work with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals community organizations and general public.
10.
Problem-solving ability.
11.
Teaching coaching & counselling skills.
12.
Ability to develop evidence-based practice and to conduct research.
13.
Participation in professional development activities in Hong Kong.
14.
Experience in quality improvement and research activities.
