Make a Difference
The Behavioral Faculty Assistant Director will lead and shape the Behavioral Science curriculum within our East Family Medicine Program. This role is pivotal in training the next generation of physicians by integrating behavioral health into clinical education and patient care. As a key faculty member you will:

  • Design and deliver behavioral science curriculum aligned with ACGME.
  • Mentor and supervise residents and faculty in behavioral health practices.
  • Oversee clinical mental health services and integration within the residency program.
  • Supporting residents well-being and professional development.
  • Teach communication diagnosis treatment planning and behavioral care to residents medical students and faculty.
  • Provide patient care in collaboration with residents and participate in inpatient rounds.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement collaboration and inclusive excellence.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications
Applicants for this position will have critical thinking skills and adaptability in an educational setting.

  • Masters or higher degree in Social Work or Psychology or related behavioral health field is required.
  • Licensed as a LCSW LMHC LMFT or HSSP in the state of Indiana is required.
  • Clinical teaching and patient care experience.
  • Background in medical education and quality improvement.
  • Experience presenting scholarly work or research.
  • A behavioral science educator fellowship is desired.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage group processes and mentor diverse learners.
  • Commitment to inclusive team-based care and education.
