Position Summary:
The Behavior Support Specialist requires a bachelors degree in education (or related field) from an accredited college or university. A minimum of three years experience working with students families and educators in a school or related setting with a focus on supporting students who may be at risk or experiencing behavioral challenges is required. A valid Virginia teacher license is preferred. Candidates must be able to work effectively with students parents teachers administrators and the general public.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires a bachelors degree in special education from an accredited college or university. A minimum of three years experience as a teacher in which the teaching of at-risk and/or students with behavioral challenges is an important responsibility for the position. Must have or be eligible for a teacher license from the Virginia Department of Education. Must be able to work effectively with students parents teachers administrators and general public.
