Job Description:
As the Product Manager for our Jurnal team you will take ownership of the end-to-end product lifecycle of our tax features. You will work closely with engineering design data and customer-facing teams to build a seamless accurate and efficient accounting experience for our users. Your mission is to ensure businesses using our platform have a world-class tool to manage their financials drive decision-making and comply with regulations.
- Product Vision & Strategy: Define and execute a compelling product vision and roadmap aligned with business goals and user needs.
- User-Centric Development: Understand the needs of SMBs and enterprise customers to create features that simplify complex accounting processes (e.g. financial reporting reconciliation tax compliance).
- Collaborate with Cross-functional Teams: Partner with engineering design analytics and operations teams to drive the development of new features enhancements and integrations.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage data customer feedback and competitive analysis to iterate and improve product offerings.
- Launch & Monitor: Lead the go-to-market strategy for new features ensuring clear communication with customers and internal teams. Measure product success post-launch and continuously optimize the experience.
- Problem Solving & Innovation: Identify opportunities to innovate within accounting workflows and push the boundaries of what can be automated or simplified.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure the product adheres to global accounting regulations and industry standards.
Requirements:
- Experience: 3 years of product management experience ideally in accounting finance or SaaS platforms that deal with financial data.
- Customer-focused mindset: A deep understanding of how businesses use accounting tools and a passion for delivering solutions that meet customer needs.
- Analytical Skills: Strong proficiency in using data and analytics to inform product decisions. Experience working with accounting metrics key performance indicators and financial data is a plus.
- Technical Acumen: Ability to work closely with engineers to make informed decisions about implementation trade-offs particularly related to accounting systems and integrations.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously focusing on execution and results.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills articulating complex concepts to various stakeholders.
- Problem Solver: A proactive problem solver who can work with ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with accounting and tax standards and compliance (e.g. GAAP IFRS) is a plus.
- Familiarity with SMB accounting tax solutions and ERP systems.
- Experience working in fast-growth tech companies.
