About the Mahi (Role)

Were looking for aqualified Physiotherapistto join ourGisborne teamat TBI Health. Whether you are looking for a part-time or full-time role (20-40 hours/week) or something more flexible we would love to hear from you.

Youll report to the Clinic Manager and play a key role in both ourVocational RehabilitationandHospital & Community teams supporting clients across theGisborne and Te Tairwhiti region.

This is adiverse and rewarding clinical roleyoull be working across multiple contracts including:

  • ACC: Integrated Care Pathway Vocational Rehabilitation Pain Management Training for Independence and Assessment Services
  • Workplace health: Early Intervention services for nationwide organisations (e.g. Countdown Downer DOC MSD)
  • Private and insured clients using a collaborative and holistic model of care

You will bepassionate aboutimproving health equityin rehabilitationand supporting clients in their recovery.

Agood understanding of te reo Moritikanga and cultural safety or someone keen to progress their understanding and learning of te ao Mori would be sought tailor our services to meet both clinical andcultural needs with a strong focus onimproving health equity for Mori. Approximately 45% of the local population identify as Mori so we are actively growing our cultural competency and partnerships with iwi and Mori health providers.

About the Gisborne Team

Gisborne offers a laid-back coastal lifestyle ideal for surfing biking and enjoying the outdoors. Ourclinic team is small tight-knit and fun and we collaborate with specialists in orthopaedics psychology counselling dietetics and pharmacy to deliverintegrated high-quality rehab.



Skills And Experiences

About You

This is a clinical role suited to a qualifiedPhysiotherapistwith a passion for delivering high-quality client-centred care in our community.

Our ideal candidate will have at leasttwo years of clinical experiencein New Zealand.

Experience in vocational or community rehabilitation or a post-graduate qualification would be advantageous however not essential.

Ideally you will also bring:

  • A strong work ethic
  • A positive can-do attitude
  • A desire to achieve clinical excellence
  • Very good organisational communication and report writing skills
  • An ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
  • An awareness of how to provide top-quality customer service
  • A commitment to professional development
  • A current practicing certificate to work in New Zealand
  • Professional Indemnity Insurance & Professional Membership
  • Current clean full drivers license
