You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Holistic Division of the Harris County Public Defenders Office (PDO) seeks a dedicated and detail-oriented paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide support to civil attorneys who represent PDO clients in matters such as record-sealing administrative license revocation (ALR) parole revocation Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) civil protective orders and asset forfeiture. Our division values candidates who have respect for the clients we serve are self-starters have worked in the the criminal justice system and/or a legal aid provider are responsible and accountable and communicate professionally to people inside and outside of our office.

Education and Experience:
An Associates degree or higher in Paralegal Studies from an accredited college or university
OR
Paralegal certificate
OR
Bachelors degree in legal support services/legal studies from an accredited college or university
At least five (5) years of experience as a paralegal.

Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.

Regular Full-time
Monday Friday 8:00 A.M. 5:00 P.M.
Salary:
Depends on Qualifications
Based on 26 pay periods
Employment may be contingent on passing a drug screen and meeting other standards.
