We are looking for aRegistered Electricianwith the skills initiative and passion to deliver high-quality EV charging solutions across New Zealand.
As an EV Charge Point Electrician you will play a key role in the installation and servicing of Level 3 DC EV chargers at commercial retail and public locations nationwide. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Installing and commissioning Level 3 DC electric vehicle charging systems
- Performing routine maintenance diagnostics and fault rectification
- Ensuring all work is delivered safely to a high standard and in line with technical specifications
- Collaborating with project managers civil contractors and the broader ECL team to meet project timelines
- Working away from home when required including travel and stays of up to two weeks depending on project locations
- From time to time you will work in and for the Fuels and Energy division. Cross training is preferred.
About you:
- You are aNew Zealand Registered Electricianwith a current practicing licence
- You have a solid understanding of electrical systems and preferably some experience with DC charging infrastructure (CHAdeMO CCS or similar)
- You are practical safety-focused and take pride in delivering work to a high standard
- You are calm under pressure and capable of troubleshooting problems in the field
- You are comfortable travelling for work and working on the road as needed
- You have excellent communication skills and work well within a team environment
- An Electrical Hazardous Area endorsement on his/her practising licence
