Boeing is seeking a Communications Specialist at its Boeing Japan office in Tokyo.
Position Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
Summary of Accountabilities:
- Work collaboratively with the Boeing Japan communications manager (reporting manager) Boeing Japan country president local leadership team and US teammates to support Boeing Japan with timely effective and engaging communications.
- Under the guidance of the Boeing Japan communications manager:
-Support Boeing Japan with employee communications including employee meetings leadership communications and stories for internal newsletters.
-Draft content for external web site and social media channels in English and Japanese.
-When necessary use company equipment to take photos and videos for use internally and externally.
-Engage and maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders including media customers and suppliers.
Basic Qualifications (Skill/Experience):
- Demonstrate interest in building and expanding your career in corporate communications
- Have basic monitoring skills in Japanese and English (Able to read Japanese articles and write English summaries)
- Be familiar with writing social media posts and taking photos or videos
- Strong passion for Boeing and Boeings products and services (both commercial and defense) and future airplane and aviation technologies.
- Must be fluent in written and oral communications in both Japanese and English.
- Experience working in a global and multicultural environment
- Basic PC skills (Word Excel and PowerPoint)
- Have high ethical standards and share honest opinions transparently
Preferred Qualifications (Skills/Experience);
- 3 years of experience in internal and external communications
- Experience working as a team player with many stakeholders at a global company
- Have multitasking skills and able to work on several projects efficiently at the same time.

Typical Education/Experience:
- University degree with relevant work experience in journalism and/or communications.
Other job related information:

- This position requires at times the ability to travel domestically and internationally.
- Pay and benefits are determined in line with Japans labor market practices.
Location:
The selected candidate will be required to work on-site (with some flex) at Boeing Japans Tokyo office.
