Contract & Claims Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role you will have the opportunity to lead the provision of contract management services within the assigned area of responsibility ensuring that all contract management activities are executed in accordance with the relevant corporate/division/business policies and procedures as well as the Contract Management Policy and Contract Management Framework. Each day you will ensure that the portfolio of contracts in the business follows contract and claim management methodologies in accordance with internal standard procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by reviewing and commenting on commercial and technical tender terms and conditions.

This role is contributing to the Process Automation Process industries in Indonesia and Malaysia. Main stakeholders are internal (sales project management team treasury insurance company) and external (customers).

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Developing contract strategy based on ABBs policies customer requirements and the overall execution strategy considering the risk pricing scope and schedule.
• Identifying/ coordinating the identification of the contract baseline and highlighting the areas of potential risk.
• Establishing and enforcing standard change methodologies in the portfolio of contracts to identify changes and quantify the additional time and compensation due for ABB as per the contract defining approval requirements and communicating changes to the customer.
• Enforcing and defending ABBs contractual interests against customers and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle including monitoring and assessment of changes and deviations as well as defending and enforcing claims.

• You are engaged in and highly skilled in contract lifecycle management claims analysis and risk mitigation methodologies and you enjoy working with the industrial automation sector in Indonesia and Malaysia
• You have 8-10 years of experience in contract and claims management with established skills in negotiating complex supply and service agreements particularly in the Indonesian market.
• Highly adept in contract drafting and review using platforms such asABB Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) andMicrosoft 365.
• You are passionate about stakeholder alignment and captivated by cross-functional collaboration. You are innovative around conflict resolution and compliance assurance.
• Degree in Law (mandatory) and Engineering or Business Administration (optional) with proven experience in managing bilingual (Bahasa Indonesia and English) contracts and navigating local regulatory frameworks.
• You are at ease communicating in Bahasa Indonesia and English both written and spoken
• You hold current legal practice certification or equivalent contract management credentials valid in Indonesia

The offering for the pulp and paper industries includes control systems quality control systems drive systems on-line sensors actuators and field instruments. Digitalization solutions including collaborative operations and augmented reality help improve plant and enterprise productivity and reduce maintenance and energy costs.
