Job Description Summary
The Senior Revenue Accounting Team Lead oversees all aspects of revenue accounting operations ensuring accurate financial reporting and high-quality service delivery in compliance with Novartis group guidelines standards and policies. This role manages processes systems documentation compliance and reporting while driving continuous improvement. Your key responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead the Revenue Team which is responsible for the preparation and reporting of revenues in accordance with IFRS 15 and the Novartis Accounting Manual (NAM) ensuring alignment with Novartis group standards and policies and implementation of internal guidelines.
Ensure accurate accounting of revenue transactions in compliance with NAM and the Novartis Financial Controls Manual (NFCM).
Provide technical accounting guidance for recording revenue transactions in NOCC countries in line with NAM.
Support revenue specialists in collaborating with local FRA/BPA commercial teams and CFOs in the planning and recording of revenues transactions. Ensure that transactions are appropriately documented in accordance with the Novartis Accounting Manual and the requirements of the Novartis Financial Controls Manual.
Ensure compliance with NAM Novartis Financial Controls Manual (NFCM) and regulatory requirements
Foster a strong control environment address audit findings and implement corrective actions
Lead and manage a team of seven revenue specialists ensuring collaboration performance and high-quality results
Provide leadership training and development opportunities to foster collaboration and ensure alignment with company values.
What youll bring to the role:
University level degree in Business Administration/ Economics/Finance/ MBA desirable
Proven advisory experience at a leading audit firm corporate revenue accounting experience
Proven experience in managing teams
Professional accounting qualification (CPA/ ACCA)
In-depth knowledge and expertise in IFRS 15.
Proficiency in SAP/S4 Hana is highly preferred.
