Our client is a leading global manufacturer of automotive accessories.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Chief Production Supervisor to oversee production operations drive continuous improvements and ensure efficient new launches. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production management process improvement and Lean manufacturing principles within the automotive or off-road accessories industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Management: Overseeing daily production operations to ensure efficiency quality and adherence to safety standards.
- New Model Launch: Leading the production integration of new models working closely with engineering and R&D teams to ensure smooth transitions.
- Process Improvement: Identifying and implementing process enhancements to optimize productivity reduce waste and improve overall efficiency.
- Production Planning & Control: Developing and managing production schedules ensuring timely delivery of products while minimizing downtime and costs.
- Team Leadership: Supervising and mentoring production staff fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborating with the quality department to maintain high production standards and address any quality issues.
- Cost Optimization: Monitoring production costs and implementing cost-saving initiatives without compromising product quality.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensuring all production activities comply with company policies industry regulations and safety standards.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Working closely with engineering procurement logistics and other departments to streamline operations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in production management or a supervisory role preferably in the automotive industry.
- Proven track record in new model launches process improvement and production enhancement initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Kaizen Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience in using ERP systems and production planning tools.
- Excellent problem-solving leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in Metal Fabrication Welding Laser cutting Powder Coating Painting and assembly processes.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 quality standards.
- Hands-on experience in implementing automation or digital manufacturing solutions.
