Job Description
KITE Search is currently working with one of the leading integrated resort owners in Macau to identify a Senior FF&E Lead Designer for their project team. You will be responsible for the coordination supervision and completion of luxury design projects including furniture design production of conceptual presentation documents writing of FF&E specifications and overseeing the installation of goods.
This role will report into the Executive lead for Interior Design.
Requirements:
- University graduate in Interior Design or Project Management in Interior Design.
- Minimum 8 years experience in Interior Design with strong background in FF&E specification and budgets project management and presentation skills.
- Must have ability to develop and review interior FF&E specifications understand and be able to read construction documents and review shop drawings.
- Experienced and knowledgeable of fabrics furniture and custom goods for high-end property.
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
- Proficient in MS-Office and contemporary design software (in particular Excel Photoshop and AutoCAD) concepts practices and procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure willing to work long hours when necessary.
- Ability to identify issues and problems generate solutions and choose appropriate alternatives using basic root cause analysis.
- Familiar with field concepts practices and procedures of interior design and project management.
- Must have sharp design skills and passion to meet the standards of a 5-star Resort.
- Must be familiar with current industry design trends and new technology.
- Good at interacting with people.
Primary responsibilities:
- Select samples and color palettes; write FF&E specifications using the company specs
- Read and interpret design drawings.
- Manage external design consultants to ensure quality of work and detail.
- Draw up floor plans and sketches in CAD format including details such as millwork and architectural / interior design details.
- Plan and estimate budgets for projects.
- Review shop drawings and sample submittals; attend site walk inspection and ensure the quality is achieved according to the Design Intent.
- Supervise FF&E installation and construction works factory visits and site inspections to ensure quality as required:
