Valid Oklahoma Drivers License in order to drive University vehicles or ability to obtain within 30 days from hire date

This position is being filled through OUs PEAK Temporary Staffing Service.
We pickup the incoming mail from the post office sort it to each building then run the route while picking up and dropping off mail. Once the route is done then the outgoing mail is processed.
- Picks up USPS mail by utilizing a state owned motor vehicle.
- Delivers mail to various make special mail runs as directed by the supervisor.
- Assists in preparation of special mailings.
- Sorts and meters incoming and outgoing mail by route and location. Separates outgoing mail by account number for postage.
- Maintains state owned motor vehicle to include but not limited to inspecting the vehicle for engine oil andbrake central mail supervisor of any deficiencies.
- Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
Physical Working Conditions:
Ability to engage in repetitive and unloading heavy loads (up to 50 lbs.).Stooping bending standing and climbing often and for prolonged physically demanding labor.
Environmental Working Conditions:
Working in potentially hazardous to extreme temperatures and outdoor work in all seasons.
