Associate Privacy Audit Analyst
Job Description Summary
Job Summary:
The Associate Privacy Audit Analyst supports privacy audit activities to ensure compliance with global data protection standards and U.S. health data regulations. This role focuses on executing audit tasks assisting in risk assessments and documenting findings under the guidance of senior team members. Testing of controls is part of the role but remains secondary to core audit responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and executing privacy audits against frameworks such as GDPR LGPD DPDP and HIPAA.
Conduct privacy risk assessments and map findings to control frameworks (UCF NIST ISO 27001).
Document compliance gaps draft audit workpapers and track remediation activities.
Coordinate with application teams control owners and compliance stakeholders to gather evidence.
Support IT control testing (access management infrastructure encryption) as needed.
Maintain clear audit documentation and contribute to status reporting.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelors degree in Information Security Information Technology Law or related field.
23 years of experience in privacy or IT audit risk compliance or related functions.
Strong knowledge of GDPR LGPD DPDP and HIPAA.
Solid understanding of PII protection requirements.
Familiarity with IT security concepts controls and cybersecurity practices.
Basic experience with UCF NIST ISO 27001 frameworks.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self-starter able to work independently and meet deadlines.
Nice to Have:
Professional certifications such as CIPP CISA or CISSP.
Experience with IT general control (ITGC) testing and functional testing methodologies.
Exposure to test case design test data management and defect-tracking tools.
Familiarity with automation testing tools (e.g. Tosca Selenium).
Prior experience in healthcare or life sciences compliance.
Exposure to privacy management or audit automation platforms.
