Transaction Services (TS) is one of Wholesale Bankings (WB) core business lines. TS offer a suite of WB products and services to corporate and institutional clients. TS are a significant contributor to the growth and profitability of the WB. Our strategy is aimed at ensuring that we continue to support sustained growth for the WB by delivering competitive and relevant Transaction Services products. TS has an aggressive growth plan to increase revenue and become the best Bank in Europe.
TS - Correspondent Banking Management (CBM) is a team within the TS Strategy & Balance Sheet Management (BSM) department. The teams purpose is to manage the ING network of agent banks to ensure that ING has the best solutions with the best providers with focus on cost risk and performance.

About the role
The Head of the Correspondent Banking Management team (CBM) managing a small team with highly dedicated people reporting to the Transaction Services Global Head of Strategy & BSM. The role has a global scope including the ING network countries with ING payment activities. The team works closely with multiple other functions including INGs PSS Network Management team INGs FI Sales team and INGs commercial and product management payments teams. The team manages relationships with agent banks and fintechs and provides transparency governance and control for services which support INGs global product ambitions.
The CBM strategy is focused on cost management simplifying the network by actively managing nostro accounts and routing arrangements with focus on consolidating external provider relationships to achieve globally consistent solutions and the risk associated with managing a network of nostro agent banks. The CBM team plays a key role in INGs Transaction Services strategy. While cost rationalisation and reduction is a priority cost should not be the sole determinant of success in this role. ING will need to choose providers who deliver strategic value through their networks the benefits of which can be shared with INGs clients.
