OAAS within the Louisiana Department of Health leads long-term care programs for older adults and individuals with adult-onset disabilities. OAAS is dedicated to providing quality choice-driven services through Medicaid programs and state-operated facilities. Its staff supports program operations contract management and compliance to ensure effective care across the state.
The Office of Aging and Adult Services (OAAS) is seeking a Regional Office Manager in Baton Rouge to oversee long-term care programs for older adults and individuals with adult-onset disabilities. This role ensures effective program delivery through staff supervision fieldwork and compliance with Medicaid policies. Job Duties:
Oversee case reviews denial/discharge notices and critical incident reports to ensure compliance with policies and timelines.
Supervise and support staff including hiring performance evaluations training and task assignments.
Coordinate field activities such as home visits monitoring level of care reviews and appeal preparations.
Provide technical assistance to providers and support coordination agencies while resolving participant concerns.
Track waiver timelines to ensure timely service delivery and maintain quality of care standards.
Manage daily regional office operations including supplies property issues and emergency preparedness.
Represent OAAS in meetings with internal teams external partners and during emergency response events.
