The Opportunity:


Saint Lukes Hospital in Kansas City is looking for a Grant and Research Analyst who will be reporting to the Director of Finance for Research Operations. The Research Grants & Billing Analyst will have responsibility for facilitating the management of day-to-day post-award financial and administrative activity for a portfolio of sponsored research grants contracts and clinical trial agreements. The Grant & Billing Analyst will have direct responsibility for tracking project revenue and expenditures invoicing research sponsors management of project accounts receivable and accounts payable preparation of financial reports reconciliations of project activity review of study-related activity in the electronic medical record system monitoring for compliance with Federal grant regulations and contract provisions and serving as the primary liaison between the Research Business Office and study qualified experience of 5 years or more may be considered in lieu of Bachelors degree. This will be a HYBRID work schedule.


The Work:

  • Requires a higher level of supervision by the Lead or Manager with an expectation of continuous progress in learning and understanding.

  • Responsible for facilitating day-to-day post-award financial and administrative management for a portfolio of sponsored research grants contracts and clinical trial agreements.

  • Responsible to track project revenue and expenditures invoice research sponsors manage project-specific accounts receivable/accounts payable prepare financial reports reconcile project activity review of study-related activity in the electronic medical record system and monitor compliance with Federal grant regulations and contract provisions as applicable.

  • Collaborates with Investigators study staff and accounting/business office staff.

  • Serve as the primary liaison and point of contact for assigned research projects.

  • Other duties as assigned.
