Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Warehouse Manager to oversee our Ohio warehouse operations. This role will manage a small team (34 staff) and ensure smooth day-to-day handling of mechanical components across 1000 SKUs. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for optimizing workflows leveraging our NetSuite ERP with WMS and maintaining a high standard of accuracy efficiency and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Lead train and motivate a team of 34 warehouse associates.
- Create schedules assign tasks and monitor performance.
- Foster a safe efficient and collaborative work environment.
Inventory & Warehouse Operations
- Oversee receiving picking packing shipping and cycle counts for 1000 SKUs of mechanical components.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and reduce discrepancies.
- Implement best practices in storage labeling and space utilization.
Systems & Process Management
- Use NetSuite ERP and WMS to track inventory movements and replenishment.
- Ensure timely updates and compliance with company SOPs.
- Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
Quality & Safety
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular warehouse inspections and enforce safety policies.
- Resolve operational issues quickly to maintain fulfillment performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Purchasing Customer Service and Operations to align on inventory and order fulfillment needs.
- Support special projects such as assembly builds or process upgrades.
Qualifications
- 3 years of warehouse supervision or management experience.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management and WMS/ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
- Experience managing a small team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with mechanical components or industrial products is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a warehouse environment.
