Futrend Technology is looking for a Front End Developer with Python/Django/Postgres experience to join our team of industry leading professionals and forward thinking customers.
- Develop and maintain responsive user-friendly web interfaces for applications built on Python/Django/Oracle/Postgres back-end services.
- Work with frameworks such as React and Angular to build reusable components and implement modern front-end features.
- Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate RESTful APIs and ensure smooth data flow.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility accessibility (Section 508 compliance) and performance optimization.
- Troubleshoot debug and resolve issues in existing applications.
- Test applications for browser compatibility.
- Stay up to date with emerging front-end technologies frameworks and best practices.
- Participate in the maintenance of existing applications and development of new applications using Python/Django/Postgres
- Contribute to system documentation code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3 years of front-end development experience in enterprise or government projects.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript jQuery TypeScript HTML5 and CSS3.
- Expert knowledge of and experience with responsive web design
- Experience with modern frameworks such as React and/or Angular.
- Knowledge of and experience with Python/Django PL/SQL and relational database management systems.
- Experience integrating front-end applications with RESTful APIs.
- Understanding of key website design principles.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g. Section 508 WCAG).
- Familiarity with Agile development practices and tools (e.g. Jira Git).
- Excellent communications skills (verbal and written) including presentation skills.
- Team player and self starter
- Active badge with NIH is strongly preferred
- Hands on experience with Python/Django/Postgres is strongly preferred
- Experience working with federal government clients.
- Be willing and able to learn Pytho/Django/Postgres new technologies and development skills.
- Experience withPL/pgSQL
