Job Description

Job Responsibilities

The Banking Manager reports directly to the Director of Finance. This position manages the colleges banking investment and merchant account activities; processes financial system data in a timely manner; and maintains accounting records in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The Banking Manger will comply with authoritative pronouncements from the State Board for Technical Comprehensive Education (SBTCE) the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) and the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO). This position manages the fiscal activity for all the colleges funds and assists with financial statement reports as needed.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

A bachelors degree in accounting finance business or related field and professional experience directly related such as accounting auditing finance or commercial lending. Preferred candidate will have five (5) years of directly related experience in accounting and supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of accounting business and management principles. The candidate must be able to prepare and interpret complex fiscal and statistical documents. A working knowledge of data input and controls on an automated system is required as well as the ability to integrate functions and processes for financial reporting. Supervisory experience and an educational background in accounting and automated systems are important. The candidate should possess strong written and oral communication skills as well as excellent customer service abilities and the ability to interact effectively with people. Proficiency in PC-based software including the MS Office Suite is essential.
